Privacy Policy

Dished is a meal planning app made for families, and we treat your family's information the way we'd want ours treated. This policy explains what Dished collects, why, and what control you have over it.

What we collect

• Your account. When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email address (or Apple's private relay address if you choose to hide it).
• Your recipes and photos. The recipes you save, import, or photograph, and the photos attached to them.
• Your family preferences. Household size, dietary preferences, favorite cuisines, and notes you share so Dished can plan meals that fit your family.
• Usage and diagnostics. Basic records of how the app is used and where it fails, so we can fix problems and improve Dished.
• The waitlist. If you join the waitlist on this site, we collect your email address and use it only to tell you when Dished launches. You can ask us to remove it at any time.

How we use it

We use your information to run Dished: importing and organizing your recipes, generating your meal plans and grocery lists, sending the reminders you turn on, and keeping your vault in sync. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Service providers

Dished runs on a small set of providers who process data on our behalf: Supabase hosts our database and storage, OpenAI processes recipe text and images to import and organize recipes and generate plans, and Apple handles sign-in and payments. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.

Notifications

Dinner reminders, grocery-day reminders, and similar notifications are optional. You choose them in the app, and you can turn any of them off at any time in Dished or in iOS Settings.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account from inside the app (Profile → [account deletion location]). Deleting your account permanently removes your recipes, plans, preferences, and photos from our systems. You can also email us and we'll do it for you.

Children

Dished is built for parents and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app before the change takes effect.
